Vino for Fun is a future superstar with unique genes. His sire, Verdi, hardly needs an introduction. For nearly ten years, this bay son of Quidam de Revel competed at the highest level under Maikel van der Vleuten. Verdi participated in more than eleven international championships and won a silver medal with Team Netherlands at the 2012 Olympic Games. Vino for Fun's dam, Fit for Fun, is the highly successful Grand Prix mare who twice finished second in the prestigious Aachen Grand Prix under Luciana Diniz. His granddam, Fetzi (by Fabriano), not only produced Fit for Fun but also her full brother, Kai Schafer's 1.50m jumper Flight of Ikarus, and is now used for breeding in Argentina. His great-granddam, Esta, is a daughter of the Hanoverian stallion Escudo I. All of the mares mentioned were awarded the title of State Premium Mare in Hanover. While this pedigree is not yet extensive, that will surely change soon. Exclusive genes united in an interesting stallion. What more could one ask for?
