This allows me to offer stallion owners the highest hygiene standards, transparent processes, and professional support for the safe storage and worldwide distribution of stallion semen – efficiently, legally, and with a focus on service.
Professional storage of frozen horse semen in Germany
My semen depot offers safe, hygienic and permanently monitored storage of frozen semen (FDM) for horses from Europe and around the world.
As experienced breeding consultants and insemination officers for horses, in cooperation with the station veterinarians, we guarantee the highest standards in the storage, management and shipping of frozen semen for horse breeding.
Our services – Safely store and ship frozen semen
- Storage of frozen horse semen collected in the EU and worldwide

- Regular refilling of the storage containers with liquid nitrogen

Procedure for storing frozen sperm
For the storage of frozen semen in the semen depot, a prior written request via email is required:

Required documents for frozen sperm storage
The following documents are required for the storage of frozen semen:
- Details of the issuing EU station including delivery note
- Declaration regarding the ownership of frozen semen
- Information on sequin lettering / seed marking
- Information from the manufacturing EU station
- Information on seed collection and extraction
- Quarantine statement: – 30-day quarantine of the stallion – station was not left during semen collection
- Stallion data, such as name, life number, breeding license, animal breeding certificate, WFFS test
- Information on treatments, sampling and veterinary certificate
- Semen preparation, freezing and thawing protocols including the number of straws per insemination
After review of all submitted documents and conclusion of the storage contract, the breeding material can be accepted and professionally stored. Storage and administration costs depend on the number of insemination doses (straws/sequins) stored.
Transparent billing & inventory control:
- Monthly billing of storage fees
- Monthly inventory report on stored frozen semen
- Free advertising space for the respective stallion on this website (one-time administrative setup fee: €50.00 plus VAT)
Prices for the storage of frozen semen (FDM):
- Storage fee (one-time charge) including processing & inspection: €100.00
- Outsourcing fee (one-time charge) including processing: €75.00
- Basic fee: €35.00 / month – incl. storage of up to 250 straws / sequins
- Additional fee for each additional 100 straws/sequins: €7.50 per month
- Single portions up to 10 straws/sequins: €5.50/month
- All prices are subject to 19% VAT.

International TG sperm shipping & TRACES
A TRACES certificate is mandatory for the international shipment of horse semen.
The prerequisite is the complete availability of all seed and origin documents.
Our service, in cooperation with the authorities, includes:
- Preparation of the TRACES documents
- Preparation of all customs and export documents
- Selecting a suitable logistics company depending on the destination country
Costs for shipping TG sperm
The costs for shipping frozen semen for horses are comprised as follows:
- TRACES certificate: €75.00 plus VAT per document
- Rental fee for shipping container including nitrogen flat rate: €150.00 plus VAT.
- Shipping costs: depend on the destination country (on request)
TG sperm storage & group transport
In addition to shipping, we also offer professional storage of frozen semen.
We are also happy to organize group transports from several EU stations – efficiently, safely and worldwide.

Important note regarding EU hygiene status:
- Frozen semen with EU or worldwide shipping status must be permanently stored in an approved EU insemination station.
- Otherwise, the TG sperm loses its hygienic status and may no longer be shipped internationally.
